The position

We are looking for an Interim Project Manager for an internationally operating high-tech technology company. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in mechatronics and engineering simulation with a strong background in systems engineering and technical project management.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complex customer projects from order intake through to final acceptance. You will act as the key link between customers, engineering, production, procurement and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your technical background enables you to communicate effectively with engineers, evaluate technical solutions and make well-informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle. You have practical experience with mechatronic systems, engineering simulations and technical system integration, allowing you to quickly understand complex technical challenges without an extensive onboarding period.

You will work in an international, multidisciplinary environment where advanced technology, innovation and engineering are at the core of the business.

This is an interim assignment of approximately six months, requiring five days per week, primarily on-site in the Randstad region of the Netherlands. Immediate availability is preferred.

Candidate profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer within a high-tech, mechatronics or engineer-to-order environment.
• Experience with complex mechatronic systems, system integration and multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Knowledge of engineering analysis and simulation (such as FEA, CFD, dynamic analysis or similar techniques).
• Experience managing projects from engineering & design through manufacturing, FAT/SAT testing and final customer delivery.
• Strong ability to connect and coordinate engineering, production, suppliers and customers within technical projects.
• Hands-on, analytical and pragmatic, with a strong understanding of the interaction between mechanics, electronics, software and simulation, and the ability to translate complex technical challenges into practical solutions.
