The position

The Senior Investment Associate plays a key role in making direct investments as well as value creation for Company’s investee companies in the home country and internationally.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Work with team to grow Company’s business by contributing to investment origination, execution and asset management.
• Support investment origination by conducting industry and company research, contributing to development of potential investment themes, identifying attractive investment targets, building sector knowledge and network over-time.
• Work with team and support the development of investment thesis and risks.
• Execution of small co-investments or major workstreams for large, complex investment opportunities, including working independently to conduct market research, competitive analysis, regulatory trend study, financial performance and return analysis etc.
• Construct complex financial models for various deal opportunities from minority investments to leveraged buy-out transactions.
• Manage and work with 3rd party advisors, when relevant, to drive due diligence insights. In addition, work with company management/manage relations to achieve differentiated investment angles.
• Contribute to investment recommendation and approval process, including drafting investment recommendations, presenting to Board of Directors and answering BOD’s questions.
• Support the negotiation and execution of agreements and other transaction-related legal documentation.
• Contribute to asset management efforts by monitoring on-going performance of portfolio companies, participating in specific value creation initiatives when appropriate, reviewing valuations of portfolio companies periodically.
• Implement, track, and report mechanisms with subsidiaries to maintain visibility on performance and work with senior management across the group to develop robust quarterly and annual plans.
• Prepare risk analyses and financial, investment and asset management reports.
• Support the management and enhancement of relationships with key stakeholders, including investment partners, advisors vendors etc.
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of potential exit alternatives.
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned by the management.

Candidate profile

Minimum Requirements

• Level of Education:
  • Bachelor degree in Investment/Business/Economics/Finance from an internationally recognized business school is preferred.
  • an MBA or other advanced degree or a relevant professional qualification is preferred.
• Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, investment management, strategic consultant or other relevant experience (private equity experience preferred).
