The position

This assignment offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, private equity-driven organization with an ambitious international buy-and-build strategy.
 
M&A is a crucial part of the growth strategy. The Integration Manager plays a key role in guiding post-acquisition integration processes, including operational alignment, cultural integration and system harmonization. In addition, the manager provides input on synergy potential in potential acquisitions.

  • Refining the organization’s integration strategy across all business functions, including Finance, Sales & Marketing, HR, IT and Technology;
  • Providing input to the Head of M&A on quantifying synergy potential of a company under review;
  • Developing integration plans that align with the organization’s strategic objectives, defining the key strategic goals of the integration;
  • Refining the target operating model and combined organizational chart of a potential acquisition;
  • Developing a detailed plan for value creation and integration of acquired companies;
  • Finalizing integration and synergy plans with measurable goals;
  • Establishing a governance structure for integration. Assign responsibilities to functions and individuals for successful execution of the integration plan;
  • Structure a timeline for meetings required to oversee the integration plan;
  • Define an integration dashboard to track progress on KPIs and financial metrics related to the strategic goals of the acquisition;
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of business processes;
  • Manage timelines, budgets and resources to achieve integration milestones;
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues;
  • Identify risks and implement strategies to minimize disruptions;
  • Preserve the value of the acquired entity by ensuring operational continuity.

Candidate profile

  • A collaborative leader, effective in persuasively influencing multiple stakeholders;
  • The candidate, with at least 10 years of relevant work experience, will be based in the Netherlands and report to the CFO and work closely with the senior management and operational leaders;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A structured approach and exceptional organizational skills, enabling the candidate to manage multiple work streams and diverse stakeholders;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • A data-driven and analytical mindset with a proven track record of using data to make better-informed and more effective business decisions;
  • Proven experience in project management and business integration, supported by broad cross-functional knowledge;
  • A highly developed intellect, high emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to build strong relationships within the organization;
  • A visible work ethic, drive, ambition, resilience and infectious energy; naturally works at a fast pace;
  • Flexibility; able to seamlessly switch between shaping integration strategy, realizing synergies and solving problems across different functions of the organization;
  • A good listener who takes advice to heart and embodies the down-to-earth, practical and collaborative approach of the management team;
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
